Supponor are a specialist advertising company focused on developing and commercialising Digital Billboard Replacement technology for live sport broadcasts. They’ve designed a unique product that allows businesses to digitally reuse the same physical advertising space and increase revenue through targeted brand promotion.
BLISS have worked with Supponor ongoing to build their online and offline identity. This growing relationship has allowed us to realise not just their visual brand, but has given us the time to craft a tone of voice that clearly explains their niche product, and their vision as a business.
Although based in Espoo, near Helsinki, Supponor’s software engineers have a UK-based operations team working to maximise opportunities across Europe and beyond. Supponor wanted to work with a digital agency in the UK that were efficient and asked the right questions to guide them through the digital process.
Starting from the small initial project of managing their website, our consistent high standard of work persuaded Supponor to offer us more and more responsibility. We have since worked with them on brochure design, full branding workshops, email marketing campaigns, events management and video work.
Due to the long tail nature of Supponor’s product, they are less interested in broadcasting their services to a wide spectrum of the public, but instead focused on developing fruitful relationships with potential clients.
Reflecting this in our interactive work posed an unusual challenge for us. Where normally the objective is bulk return, we had to concentrate very much on who we were targeting, and presenting Supponor in the right light. Our design work was lead by the simplicity of the service, letting the concept speak for itself.
When working with such revolutionary ideas, less really is more.
Supponor are committed to reaching the right audience, at the right time, with the right content. We developed their website with this in mind, concentrating on clear and concise explanations, specifically aimed at potential clients who were already familiar with the concept.
Their commitment to innovation is one we admire. The business has grown rapidly as they continue to refine their product and receive further investment; as such, it was necessary for us to help mould their brand during this period of rapid global expansion.
Through close collaboration and communication, including multiple brand workshops and phases of trial and error, we’ve forged a visual and textual vocabulary that has helped establish them as leaders in a field of technology that is the future of brand advertising.
As a result of our partnership, Supponor now have a strong online and offline identity, and a refined web presence that makes it easier for potential clients to research them. As they continue to perfect their product and roll it out to larger global markets, we hope to ride with them and continue to adapt and improve the Supponor brand.
